Welcome to Springfield Business Journal’s newsroom blog, The Fine Print*!

Today’s debut of The Fine Print* coincides with the launch of the new sbj.net – a redesign of the Web site you’ve come to know over the last three years. Visit the site and explore the dozens of new features we’ve added. Overall, we think the site has improved navigation and reader interactivity.

The Fine Print* is SBJ’s foray into the blogosphere, and it’s part of our mission for the new sbj.net, which is to get you involved. A blog lets us connect with our readers on a much closer, casual level, and hopefully, our entries will compel you to join in the discussion, post comments and help us better report on news that affects you.

The newsroom staff will write about what’s going behind the scenes of our news-gathering world. That could mean news tidbits that don’t make it into the full stories in the paper, rumors we might have confirmed but aren’t ready to break a major story for yet, or items of interest we come across while we’re out digging for stories. The possibilities are endless, and we’re excited to jump in.
