Obama meets Zuckerberg in Facebook townhall

Geoff Pickle, Web Editor

What better place for a show of transparency than the Web?

President Barack Obama has scheduled a Facebook townhall, dubbed “Shared Responsibility and Shared Prosperity,” today at 3:45 p.m. Obama will be at Facebook’s headquarters in Palo Alto, Calif., along with Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg.

Anyone with an Internet connection can tune in to the live stream at facebook.com/whitehouse, https://apps.facebook.com/facebooklive or whitehouse.gov/live.

Head over to the event page for the townhall or whitehouse.gov/facebooktownhall to submit questions, which will be selected by Facebook staff. It isn’t clear how many questions will be chosen, but the event is set to last about an hour.

For any American, this is a good chance to interact with one of the most recognizable faces in the world. And a second largely known public figure, Zuckerberg, is the figurative icing on the cake.

According to the event page, the focus of the roundtable will be the economy, something which anyone is likely to have an opinion. The chances of your question being selected are low, but why not give it a try? Roll the political dice.
