Hydra-Slide property has sentimental, practical values

The reason for buying the four acres available at 4634 S. Campbell Ave. (even if I could, at its $1.2 million price tag) isn’t because of its value as land at the intersection of James River Expressway and South Campbell.

The property – with street frontage, a reduced price and a half-acre already leased to a communication tower for $1,000 a month ¬– is on the market, according to an e-mail sent by CDXMail, an Xceligent service.

Class-action suit against Greenleaf in the works

Matt Wagner, SBJ ReporterFor months now, I’ve been fielding calls from Greenleaf Cos. LLC customers and investors – some livid, some downtrodden – who want to know if anyone’s organizing a class-action lawsuit against the Springfield-based contract-for-deed home seller.

Indeed, a Leawood, Kan., attorney is scheduled to travel to Springfield tomorrow – on his Harley, if the weather cooperates – to meet with an unidentified local attorney about a class-action suit in the works.
